I recently read an article about how AI is making traditional résumés less useful, pushing employers to focus more on real skills, demonstrated ability, and trusted relationships.

And it struck me, this is already what we value in soccer.

At Orlando Soccer School Lake Nona, players are known for how they show up over time, their effort, coachability, consistency, and performance. And just as important, families build genuine relationships within this community.

It raises an interesting possibility…

If opportunities are increasingly coming through trusted networks and real-world proof of ability, could a community like this become even more valuable, not just for development on the field, but for what comes next?

Orlando, FL — Orlando Pride Lake Nona is proud to announce a major milestone in the continued evolution of our girls program. Our club has been formally accepted into the Girls Academy League pathway and beginning in August 2026, will compete in the GA 2 – Aspire League, representing Orlando Pride Lake Nona on one of the most respected female youth soccer platforms in the United States.

This announcement marks the first in a series of strategic updates we will be sharing with our membership over the coming weeks, all centered on one clear objective: providing our players access to the highest-quality development environments possible. Player development does not live in a single lane. It exists across coaching quality, daily training environments, education, communication, competition structures, and access to meaningful pathways - and we have been deliberate in strengthening each of these areas.

In partnership with City Football Group and the Sofive brand, the club has laid out a long-term vision designed to elevate standards, broaden opportunity, and ensure our players are prepared for the demands of the modern game. Access to elite competitive environments is a critical pillar of that vision, and entry into the Girls Academy ecosystem represents a significant step forward.

The Girls Academy is widely recognized as the leading elite youth soccer platform for female players in the U.S., offering player-centered development, high-level year-round competition from U13 - U19, and unmatched exposure to collegiate programs. Just as importantly, the GA emphasizes player welfare, leadership development, mentorship, and education - values that align directly with our club’s philosophy.

The GA Aspire League serves as a performance-based bridge between elite youth soccer and the top-tier GA competition. Through this pathway, our players will immediately benefit from:

• Enhanced college exposure through regional and national showcase events

• Access to structured, high-level training and professional coaching development

• A clear competitive pathway built on standards, accountability, and growth

• Holistic development opportunities that extend beyond the field, including leadership and mentorship initiatives

• Strategic alignment with national platforms, including collaboration with MLS NEXT and participation opportunities connected to events such as the Generation adidas Cup

This achievement reflects the collective commitment of our players, families, and staff. It is also a testament to the sustained work of our Girls' leadership. Since arriving, Girls Director Dan Nolan, alongside Director of Coaching Erik Hort, has worked relentlessly to elevate standards, align expectations, and build an environment worthy of this level of competition - supported by the continued quality and dedication of our coaching staff.

We are incredibly proud of how far the girls' program has come and even more excited about what lies ahead. Congratulations to all of our players and families on this landmark moment for Orlando Pride Lake Nona.

This is big news for the Orlando Soccer School family! She is heading to Southern California to help the team prepare for matches against Paraguay and Chile on January 24th and 27th, Tiffany will be on the sidelines in Southern California, helping lead the next era of American soccer. We are so fortunate to have a Hall of Fame Finalist and National Team Coach as our Club Ambassador—congratulations, Tiffany!

Please join us in congratulating Coach Tiffany on these incredible honors! We look forward to hearing about her National Team coaching experience when she visits Malia’s at the end of January for our special training event for selected OSSLN Pride players. ⚽️🏆
